Vocalese Voyage és un viatge retrospectiu, de present, i alhora cap al futur immediat, a través de la discografia del crooner Xavier Casellas. Abraça des de versions molt personals de l’American Songbook, una relectura dels estàndars que tots coneixem, fins a temes originalment instrumentals d’autors contemporanis com Keith Jarrett, Brad Mehldau i altres als que el propi Casellas ha posat lletra. El repertori també inclou peces d’altres grans artistes més enllà del jazz com Billie Joel, James Taylor, Bobby McFerrin i Paul Simon. Una autèntica celebració de l’art vocal servit en format trio amb la participació a les tecles de Jaume Vilaseca i la guitarra de Dani Pérez.

Abarca desde versiones muy pesonales del American Songbook, una relectura de los estandars qque todos conocemos, hasta temas originalmente instrumentales de autores contemporáneos como Keith Jarrett, Brad Mehldau y otros a los que el propio Casellas ha puesto letra. El repertorio también incluye piezas de otros grandes artistas más allá del jazz como Billie Joel, James Taylor, Bobby McFerrin y Paul Simon.

Vocalese Voyage is a retrospective journey, of the present, and at the same time towards the immediate future, through the discography of crooner Xavier Casellas. It embraces from very personal versions of the American Songbook, a reinterpretation of the standards that we all know, to originally instrumental songs by contemporary authors such as Keith Jarrett, Brad Mehldau and others to which Casellas himself has written lyrics. The repertoire also includes pieces by other great artists beyond jazz such as Billie Joel, James Taylor, Bobby McFerrin and Paul Simon. A true celebration of vocal art served in trio format with the participation of Jaume Vilaseca on keyboards and Dani Pérez on guitar.
